A Bleeding Heart

A Bleeding Heart

Deep down the abyss where no emotion can even touch my soul, my heart is lying at peace bleeding slowly but surely. Emotions are something it won’t be able to handle, peace is maintained for the reason that she is happy and the bleeding is because it is hurt.

Probably it will die before I know it for the qualm that has been inflicted is going to eat it from the inside out but the tranquility on my face is evident in the smile I bear for the world. They say I’m an amazing person who knows how to stand tall against any situation and who can always put a smile on your face but the dark void inside the mask I wear is only visible to me.

It’s not as easy as it sounds coz you know that one day, your heart will bleed out and then your soul will render itself hollow wiping out the smile that you had been faking and that will be the end of the person who was real only for the world.

Beautiful writing. Since this is for the Five Sentence Fiction, I can only imagine you must truly know this pain. It reminds me of a poem that I love entitled Daughters of the Bottle.

What pain is expressed through that fictional piece. Can I imagine a heart lying at peace but bleeding to death? Wonderful imagery. Alana

This was my favorite sentence: "They say I’m an amazing person who knows how to stand tall against any situation and who can always put a smile on your face but the dark void inside the mask I wear is only visible to me." Well done!

Beautiful buddy! A smile on the face while heart bleeds. Sad. Let's hope the heart finds the one again that can heal what seems like a sure dead end otherwise ;)

I had such a similar reaction to the post. Not nearly as eloquently as you stated, mind you. Great job.

It is indeed painful to keep faking and putting up an appearance for the world. Nicely done.

Sensitive tale written on the human emotions that you've tapped with competence. It's not easy at all during the rough ride to stand strong but we shall, at the end of the day.
