I was just going through my FB updates as usual and came across Star plus page promoting Satyamev Jayate which starts tomorrow. Just out of curiosity, I opened the page and read the comments by people. I am surprised how people are always ready to criticize and never appreciate anything good that someone is doing. Perhaps it is true that Aamir is getting paid crores of rupees for the show but at the same time he is contributing in something commendable. A comment read, “Why INDIA needs show like this?” Well INDIA needs such shows because we as a citizen haven’t done our job well!!!
Some other person commented “Aamir made 3+ crores telling about a kid who died because he could not get enough fund for his operation. So why didn’t Aamir help him himself?” I have a question for that person. Was he even aware of the fact that a kid is dying at that time?
It’s just shocking that after so many things happening, people still don’t want to change or want to accept the changes. SUCH A SHAME!!!
People even had the audacity to say that the song of Satyamev Jayate should be with the ones who are doing some good work like charity and stuff. My question to them is, “Have u seen yourself if they gave some charity? Also, are you saying that creating AWARENESS across India is less than a donation or charity to a small section? If yes, then I guess you need to correct your thoughts. Tell me why would have Aamir taken a risk of going against Khap Panchyat in his last season if all he wanted was to earn some money?
Guys just think once for good.
I don’t know how much Aamir is being paid or how much charity he is doing or what good work he has done. But I know one thing for sure - Satyamev Jayate is a superb show for creating awareness and let people know that now, we have to step up and do something. He is doing this show for INDIA not for his own gain. Did other actors come forward? Did they do anything similar? Also, please stop comparing him to the political parties.

ReplyI agree with every point of the post....great one..
ReplyGood one. Issues n awareness-fair enough.Aamir makes money yet does social service of grabbing eyeballs n creates awareness-fair enuff. What I feel bad about is that the show is so mch an overdose of poor victims' emotions-scripted to the hilt- Max TRP for Max tears.
ReplyWd b better if they focussed more on d positive work being done by ppl n take good hearted undertakings like donating 20 % ad revenues to the cause of the week & so on so that it doesn't look so damn commercial.
Great Anmol that you have shared Shruti's views here. I agree.
